CHICAGO, Ill. - The Illinois Institute of Technology women's volleyball team has announced its 2016 recruiting class. Head Coach Katie Reifert is excited about what each newcomer will bring to Illinois Tech volleyball.
"Our incoming 2016 class is a versatile group that I expect to contribute immediately, making our program more competitive next season," said Reifert. "Each athlete has a solid foundation playing at the competitive club level. I am looking forward to seeing them compete side by side with our returners."

Position: Middle Blocker Year: Freshman Hometown: Stockbridge, Ga. High School: Stockbridge Club Team: Tsunami Club Volleyball Intended Major: Biochemistry Coach Reifert's comments: "Taylor Burton is a fantastic athlete that I think could excel at any position given the chance. I am looking forward to see what role she fills best for us next season." |

Position: Defensive Specialist Year: Freshman Hometown: Chandler, Ariz. High School: Hamilton Club Team: Spiral Volleyball Intended Major: Architecture Coach Reifert's comments: "Courtney has a resilience on defense that is exciting to watch. She will definitely add depth to our serve receive, and her speed and tenacity will bring some much needed grittiness to our defense next season." |

Women's Volleyball begins the 2016 season on Friday, September 2 at the Buc Blast Tournament at Beloit College. The team's first home match is slated for Friday, September 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Keating Sports Center. Live coverage of home matches will be powered by Illinois Media School.
