OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – On Tuesday, the Association of Division III Independents announced its players of the week for action between October 2 and October 8. Taylor Burton has earned the honor for women's volleyball.

Burton finished with double-digit kills in both of Illinois Tech's two wins this week. The sophomore opened the week with ten kills and four blocks at Alverno on Tuesday before concluding with 14 kills, two blocks, and a .310 hitting percentage in a four-set victory over Alma on Saturday. Burton hit .278 on the week and averaged 3.00 kills per set.
