FULL NACC RELEASE AND POLL

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has released its women's volleyball preseason poll. New to the conference and NCAA Division III in 2018-19, the Scarlet Hawks were picked to finish 11th out of the league's 13 teams.

Illinois Tech earned a total of 91 points, slotting ahead of both Alverno (60 points) and Rockford (33 points). Concordia-Wisconsin and Aurora tied for first in the poll, with both schools earning 324 points and all of the first-place votes (14 for CUW, 12 for Aurora).

The poll is voted on by the NACC's head coaches and sports information directors. Conference regular season standings determine the teams that qualify for the six-team conference tournament, while the tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

Illinois Tech enters the NACC and NCAA Division III on a strong note after racking up 17 wins and a second consecutive trip to the USCAA National Championships in 2017. This season begins on Friday, August 31 at the Oregon Trail Classic, as Tech will take on both Willamette (4:00 p.m. central time) and Lewis & Clark (9:30 p.m. central time) in Portland.

Live audio, video, and stats are set to be available for all women's volleyball home events. The live audio will be powered by Illinois Media School.
