ELMHURST, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's cross country team opened the season with a 4k at the Elmhurst College Earlybird Invite on Friday night. Tech did not record a team score, but had several strong races.
Meet Highlights
- Tech's senior captain, Erin Nelson, proved to be a leader on this day. She paced the Scarlet Hawks with a 17:13.8 and a 6:56 mile pace, good for 27th place in the 127 racers.
- Abigail Schulz was awesome in her first race as a Scarlet Hawk, placing 67th with a time of 18:56.1.
- Zoey Krevitz (20:40.6) and Madalyn Urig (24:28.5) also competed for the Scarlet Hawks.
