CHICAGO, Ill. – This week will be the busiest of the year thus far for Illinois Tech athletics, as seven teams will combine for over 15 contests.

Women’s Volleyball headlines the week with its two-day, two-court tournament on Friday and Saturday: the Scarlet Hawk Invite. Six different collegiate volleyball programs will visit the Keating Sports Center this weekend to play matches starting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The Scarlet Hawks will play four contests over the two days on top of a mid-week road contest. Below is a schedule for women’s volleyball between now and Saturday:

TUESDAY – 7:00 p.m. at Lake Forest College

FRIDAY – 3:00 p.m. vs. UC Clermont

FRIDAY – 7:00 p.m. vs. Anderson

SATURDAY – 11:00 a.m. vs. Olivet

SATURDAY – 1:00 p.m. vs. Albion

Women’s Soccer will also be busy, playing three times this week and hosting two matches. The Scarlet Hawks, fresh off a 7-0 victory over Maranatha and a Scarlet Hawk Player of the Week selection in Julia Taliana, will play at home on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. against Manchester University. Tech will also host Cleary University on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. before a Sunday road match (3:00 p.m.) at Knox College.

Men’s Soccer will hit the road twice this week, playing at Maranatha at Tuesday (4:00 p.m.) and at Ripon on Sunday (3:30 p.m.). The Scarlet Hawks are looking to build off of a double overtime win last week against Saint Mary’s (Minnesota), a match in which Alex Kern delivered a Scarlet Hawk of the Week worthy performance.

After a very successful weekend at ITA Regionals, Women’s Tennis returns to Illinois for Sunday action at Lake Forest College. The Scarlet Hawks will play the hosts at 9:00 a.m. before opposing Aurora University at 4:00 p.m.

Men’s Tennis will compete in its first match in team history on Wednesday, heading to Judson College for a 4:00 p.m. match. After that, it will be the men’s turn to compete in the ITA Regionals, as the Scarlet Hawks will head to Kalamazoo, Michigan starting on Friday.

Men’s and Women’s Cross Country resume action this week as well, heading to Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday. The Warrior Invite is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
