Scarlet Hawk Weekly: Women’s Lacrosse, Track and Field Close Seasons

CHICAGO, Ill.- The Illinois Tech athletic department is beginning to wind down its year, as three of the five teams in action will be competing for the final time this week. Live coverage links to all contest, if available, can be found on each team’s schedule page at www.illinoistechathletics.com.

Women’s Lacrosse (14-2, 9-1 MWLC) will play its final contest of the season on Saturday against Beloit College. Looking to remain in second place in the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference and increase the highest win total in team history, Tech will host the Buccaneers at 1:00 p.m. at Stuart Field. Live audio, video, and stats will be available. The live audio will be powered by Illinois Media School.

Men’s and Women’s Track and Field will also close out the 2017 campaign. Tech will compete against tough competition at the Valparaiso University Crusader Open on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Baseball will not finish the season this week, but will play one home and one road contest. On Wednesday, Dominican University comes to Ed Glancy Field for a 3:00 p.m. game. Live audio, video, and stats will be available. The live broadcast will be powered by Illinois Media School.

After the matchup against Dominican, the Scarlet Hawks will head west down I-88 on Thursday to take on Aurora University at 6:00 p.m.
