NORFOLK, Va.- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced its Scholar All-America teams for the 2017 spring semester.

The honor is bestowed upon programs from NCAA Division I, III, and III, NAIA, and the NJCAA which had a 3.0 GPA or higher for the spring semester. Both Scarlet Hawk swim teams qualified for the second straight semester, as the women's team (3.45) and men's team (3.09) each were recognized by the CSCAA. Illinois Tech’s honors are two of many, as the CSCAA named a record 720 programs and 443 institutions Scholar All-America.

The Tech swimming and diving teams finished the season strong both in the classroom and in the pool, as both the men’s and women’s programs finished third at the Liberal Arts Championships in February. Thirteen student-athletes (eight men, five women) were named to the LAC’s All-Championship team.
