Mosley Jr. Named USCAA Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Even though Illinois Tech began its men's basketball season just last week, one player has already earned an award from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. Anthony Mosley Jr. was named the USCAA's Men's Basketball Player of the Week for action taking place November 12 through 18.

The junior led the Scarlet Hawks to a 2-0 start to the season at the North Park University Invite over the weekend. He averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals while shooting 56% from the floor in the two wins, earning All-Tournament Team honors. Mosley Jr. scored 17 points with seven assists against Gustavus Adolphus on Friday and tied for a team-high 20 points with seven rebounds against North Park on Saturday. He shot a tremendous 66% field goal percentage against North Park on Saturday as well.

Men's basketball is back in action tonight on the road against Rose-Hulman in Indiana at 6:30 p.m. CST (7:30 p.m. EST).
