MILWAUKEE, WIS.—The Illinois Institute of Technology men's basketball team traveled to first-place Wisconsin Lutheran College on Tuesday night. Max Hisatake eclipsed the 20-rebound threshold for the first time in his career, but the Scarlet Hawks dropped a 79-63 decision to the Warriors.

The Scarlet Hawks fall to 7-13, 5-10 NACC while Wisconsin Lutheran ups their record to 16-4, 13-2 NACC.

Hisatake also collected his 15th double double with a team-leading 18 points. Otis Reale was a spark plug off the bench with 14 points and four assists, and converted 5-of-7 shots in the process. Milos Dugalic and Miles Curry each registered 11 points to round out the IIT double figure scorers.

Regining NACC Player of the Week Andrew Bruggink netted a game-high 29 points for WLC, which included a 5-9 mark from beyond the arch. The Warriors netted a 13-29 (.448) three-point mark and a 26-59 (.441) figure from the floor, while IIT wasn't far behind with a 23-53 (.434) field goal percentage.

Illinois Tech nearly shot lights out in the first half with a .560 (14-25) figure, but Wisconsin Lutheran one-upped them with a .571 (16-28) mark that included nine three-pointers. The Warriors three-point efficiency was prevalent from start-to-finish as Andrew Bruggink converted a shot from beyond the arch at the halftime buzzer to give his team a 47-37 cushion.

Hisatake returned the favor with a double double alone in the second half with 14 boards and 11 points, but it wasn't enough to propel IIT in a 79-63 loss.

The Scarlet Hawks will return to action on Saturday, February 8 vs. Dominican University (Ill.) at 2:00 p.m.
