CHICAGO—The Illinois Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team's 2021 season finale pitted them against Concordia (Wis.) at Stuart Field on Saturday. The Scarlet Hawks outshot the Falcons 50-35 and forced three lead changes in the contest. The Falcons took that final lead change with 11:57 left in the fourth quarter when Taitum Priewe's goal gave his team an 8-7 edge, where they held onto an 11-10 victory.
Illinois Tech closes their 2021 season with a 2-7, 2-5 NACC mark while Concordia (Wis.) wraps up their campaign with a 5-7, 3-3 NACC record.

Christopher Stone was dynamite in the face-off circle on his birthday, as he converted an 8-for-14 outing. After trailing the whole game, Stone's face-off win with 9:05 left in the second quarter set up Spencer Meace's goal that gave the Scarlet Hawks a 4-3 advantage with 8:15 remaining in the frame.
The Scarlet Hawks either led or tied until Concordia's Donovan Harper tied the game 7-7 with 2:51 left in the third quarter. Illinois Tech outshot the Falcons 16-7 from that point forward, but it didn't result in a lead in the score column as they dropped a narrow 11-10 contest.
Spencer Meace paced the Scarlet Hawks with four goals and one assist, while Reed Tangeman tallied three goals on a team-leading 12 shots. Stone finished the contest with six ground balls for Illinois Tech, which engineered a unit that held a 31-24 advantage in that category. The Scarlet Hawks finished the contest 16-of-25 in face-offs.
Zane Handy notched six saves in net for the Scarlet Hawks, while his counterpart Alex Loding tallied 12 saves in the winning effort for CUW.
