Men’s Soccer Qualifies for USCAA Tournament

NORFOLK, Va. - The Illinois Tech men's soccer team has qualified for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association's National Championships as the tournament's seventh seed. The National Championship Tournament will be held on November 9th-13th in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the Princess Anne Sports Complex.

The Scarlet Hawks improved by five wins this season under Head Coach Marc Colwell, earning the program's USCAA Championship berth for the first time since 2014. Illinois Tech compiled a 13-4-1 record this season, including an 9-3 home mark. The team ranked first in shots, first in corner kicks, and fifth in goals allowed average amongst USCAA schools.

The Tournament format will be 12-team pool play.  The pool play will begin on Thursday, November 9 and continue through Saturday, November 11.  The four pool winners will move on to the semi-final games on Sunday, November 12 followed by the Championship game on Monday, November 13. The Scarlet Hawks have #2 Maine Fort Kent and #11 Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in their pool, "Pool C."
