ELSAH, ILL.—Day three of the Liberal Arts Championship was upon the Illinois Institute of Technology men's swimming & diving team in Elsah, Illinois on Friday. The Scarlet Hawks sit in first place out of eight teams with 513 points heading into the final day. 

Kanoa Sawai claimed gold in the 100 yard butterfly with a 49.07, while Tyler Van Wagener followed in third place with a 51.49. Samuel Kastan registered a first-place time of 56.45 in the 100 yard breaststroke, and Samuel Kalenowski was on his heels in third place with a 59.30. 

Eric Zhang registered second place in the 200 yard freestyle with a 1:43.83 while Mark Klinchin pulled down bronze in the 400 yard individual medley with a 4:13.91. Matthew Randle kept the third-place trend alive in the 100 yard backstroke with a school-record 51.54. 

The Scarlet Hawks will embark on day four of the Liberal Arts Championship tomorrow, Saturday, February 15 at 10:00 a.m. / 5:30 p.m.
