Men's Tennis Defeats Wisconsin Lutheran To Advance To The NACC Championship

Chicago, Ill - Illinois Tech Men's Tennis took care of business Saturday morning in their NACC semifinal match, defeating Wisconsin Lutheran 5-0 to advance to the NACC Championship Sunday at 1pm CT in Kohler, Wisconsin versus Concordia Wiscsonsin. The Scarlet Hawks will be looking to secure their third consecutive NACC postseason title. With the win, the Scarlet Hawks improved to 10-8 overall on the season. The Warriors finish their season at 10-10.

The Scarlet Hawks opened with a 3-0 sweep of the doubles matches. Number one doubles pair of Alann Torres and Jordan Lauer won 8-5. Number two pair Huy Ngo and Davis Housman won their match 8-1. Number three pair Pablo Marroquin Borque and Nabil Fawaz won their match 8-0.

In singles play, number three singles Fawaz (6-1, 6-0) and number five singles Lauer (6-0, 6-0) won their matches, securing the five match win total needed for the Scarlet Hawks to win the semi-final match.

For the championship match versus Concordia Wisconsin, the Scarlet Hawks will look to match their performance over the Falcons back on April 10th, when the Hawks traveled to Mequon, Wisconsin and defeated CUW 8-1.
