Many Strong Performances for Men’s Track and Field at BenU

LISLE, Ill. – On Friday and Saturday, the Illinois Tech men's track and field team competed at the Benedictine University Relays, recording many strong performances.

Meet Highlights

  • In the 5000m run, Cole Dammeier placed 13th at 16:07.56. 
  • In the triple jump, Saisaketh Valluri placed 22nd at 12.00m. He also led the way in the long jump with a 26th place finish (6.37m).
  • David Foreman placed 35th in the discus with a 35.04m mark, a personal record by nearly three meters. He also placed 41st in the javelin (33.24m).
  • Demis Thomas (62nd, 11.74s), Valluri (65th place, 11.81s), and Kwame Opoku (71st, 12.33s) all competed in the 100m dash. Opoku also competed in the 200m dash (26.06s).
