Seventh Place in the Cards For Scarlet Hawks at NACC Outdoor Championship

MILWAUKEE, WIS.—The Illinois Institute of Technology men's track & field team embarked on day two of the 2021 NACC Outdoor Track & Field Championship at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday. The Scarlet Hawks took seventh place out of 10 teams with 32 points. MSOE claimed the NACC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Title with 226 points.

The 800 meter run resulted in 14 points for the Scarlet Hawks as Evan Balizado (1:59.01) and Thomas Doyle (1:59.17) claimed second and third place, respectively. The duo, along with Christian Allen and Robert Mathis racked up three more points in the 4x400 meter relay, where they took sixth place with a 3:35.09. Doyle kept that momentum going in the 1500 meter run with an eighth-place time of 4:13.06.

Barry Brookins highlighted the field athletes with a second-place toss of 38.31m in the discus, and a fifth-place mark of 12.58m in the shot put.
