2020 ILLINOIS TECH MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE RELEASE

MILWAUKEE, WIS.—The Illinois Institute of Technology Scarlet Hawks came in at #8 with 96 points on the 2020 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Volleyball Preseason Poll that was released on Monday. Benedictine University took the #1 spot on the 2020 NACC Men's Volleyball Preseason Poll with 234 points and 14 first-place votes. 

"We are not too worried about where we were picked," said IIT head men's volleyball coach Mark Johnston. "There's usually only one team that's happy with their ranking. This being our second year in the NCAA and NACC, I think we are going to really surprise some teams. It's an honor to play in a conference that may have four-to-five teams ranked at some point this season. We return five-of-seven starters and brought in 10 fresh faces, and many of them will contribute. We are all very excited for this season."

The Scarlet Hawks registered a 6-19 (3-13) record in their inaugural season in the NACC last season. The 2020 season opener will pit IIT at #5 Carthage College on Saturday, January 25 at 1:00 p.m. NAIA member St. Xavier University will invade the Keating Sports Center for the Scarlet Hawks' 2020 home opener on Friday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m.
