OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Association of Division III Independents announced on Tuesday its Players of the Week for October 16-22.  Illinois Tech's Cole Dammeier has earned the honor for men's cross country, his third time receiving the award this season.

Dammeier placed 48th out of 83 runners at the Eastern Michigan University Fall Classic on Friday. The 5K race featured opponents from other Division III Independents and Division I teams as well.  Dammeier ran a time of 17:10.8 at the meet.

The Scarlet Hawks will be back in action on Thursday, November 2 when they travel to Naperville for the North Central College Red & White Invite.
