CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's basketball team played host to future Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference foe Milwaukee School of Engineering on Tuesday evening for the first home game of the season. The Scarlet Hawks were defeated by the Raiders 64-36.

How it Happened

• Neither team shot the ball well in the first quarter, as the two squads combined for just 6-of-35 shooting over the first 10 minutes. MSOE led 9-7 after one.
• Shannon O'Donnell had a strong second quarter for Tech with nine points. However, the Raiders ramped up the offense, scoring 18 points en route to building a halftime advantage.
• MSOE began to connect from beyond the arc in the third quarter, going 4-of-8 from downtown. Tech shot 41.7% from the floor, but the outside shooting from the Raiders allowed the visitors to increase the lead.
• Madison Davis made some great plays for Tech in the fourth quarter, scoring five points and pulling down four rebounds in the final period.

Scarlet Hawk Standouts

• O'Donnell had a very efficient line in the loss. The freshman led all players with 18 points, doing so on just nine shot attempts from the floor and a 10-of-15 night from the charity stripe. She also had six rebounds and two steals.
• Davis scored 12 points and had a team-high eight rebounds. She also hit two three-pointers.

Stats to Know

• MSOE committed nearly half the amount of turnovers as Tech (27-14).
• Tech had 19 free throw attempts compared to MSOE's 10.
• MSOE moved to 1-1. Tech fell to 0-3.
