Women’s Basketball Announces 2018-19 Schedule

FULL SCHEDULE

CHICAGO, Ill. – Illinois Tech women's basketball has released its 2018-19 schedule. The Scarlet Hawks will play 24 regular-season contests as full first-year NCAA Division III and Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) members.

The Scarlet Hawks begin the season with three straight games at home, the first being Tuesday, November 13 against St. Mary's College of Indiana at 7:00 p.m. Then, Tech will play host to Adrian College (November 17) and Lake Forest College (November 19) before opening up the NACC slate.

Illinois Tech starts the 20-game NACC schedule on Saturday, November 24, as the Scarlet Hawks travel to Benedictine University to take on the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. After a road non-conference contest against Andrews University (November 27), the Scarlet Hawks will host Alverno College (December 1) and Aurora University (December 4) to start the new month. The home-heavy schedule continues through December with two more home NACC contests (vs. Lakeland University on December 15, vs. Concordia University Wisconsin on December 29) after a trip to Milwaukee School of Engineering on December 8.

Three more home games await the Scarlet Hawks to start January, as the team will host Dominican University (January 2), Marian University (January 8), and defending NACC regular season and conference tournament champion Wisconsin Lutheran College (January 10). Up to this point, Tech will have played 10 of the first 13 games in the Keating Sports Center.

The Scarlet Hawks will then have a three-game NACC road trip from January 12-19 ,as Tech travels to Concordia University Chicago, (January 12), Concordia-Wisconsin (January 16), and Edgewood College (January 19) before coming home to take on MSOE on Thursday, January 22. This precedes another three-game road streak, with trips to Rockford University (January 26), Alverno (January 30), and Dominican (February 2).

To wrap-up the regular season schedule, Illinois Tech will play two home and two road games. The Scarlet Hawks will host Benedictine (February 5) and Rockford (February 16), with road contests at Aurora (February 9) and Lakeland (February 13) sandwiched in between.

The NACC Tournament starts Tuesday, February 19, with the top six teams qualifying. Seeds three through six will play on the 19th, with the highest seed hosting each contest at 7:00 p.m. On February 22 and 23, the Semifinals and Finals will be played, hosted by the tournament's top seed.
