Scarlet Hawks Fall to MSOE on the Road 68-46

MILWAUKEE, WIS.—The MSOE Raiders welcomed the Illinois Institute of Technology women's basketball team to the Kern Center for a Tuesday-night showdown. Shannon O'Donnell finished the contest with 26 points after she only netted eight over the opening three quarters, but it wasn't enough to propel the Scarlet Hawks in a 68-46 loss to the Raiders.

The Scarlet Hawks fall to 0-17, 0-12 NACC while MSOE improves to 5-12, 5-7 NACC.

IIT outscored MSOE 20-12 in the fourth quarter, thanks to O'Donnell's 18 points in the frame.

O'Donnell now carries 941 career points with eight games remaining in her junior season. She also pulled down 11 rebounds for her eighth double double of 2019-20, and built on her NACC-leading 108 free throws made and 155 free throw attempts with an 8-9 figure against the Raiders along with a team-high three assists. Meredith Williams recorded a game-high four steals in the contest for IIT, while Josie Mace followed with three. Brooke Rowan and Erin Efimoff each tallied seven points for the Scarlet Hawks.

MiKayla Dogs, who notched 23 points, was a force at the three-point line with a 5-11 figure for an MSOE team that tallied an 11-24 (.458) mark along with a 27-52 (.519) percentage from the floor. Amy Reiser rounded out the MSOE double-figure scorers with 17 points.

IIT will return to action on Saturday, February 1 at home against Edgewood College at 4:15 p.m.
