Muskies Too Much For Scarlet Hawks

CHICAGO—The 2019-20 home finale pitted the Illinois Institute of Technology women's basketball team against Lakeland University at the Keating Sports Center on Wednesday night. The Scarlet Hawks dropped a 93-45 decision despite outscoring the Muskies 22-16 in the fourth quarter.

IIT falls to 0-24, 0-19 NACC while Lakeland improves to 11-14, 11-9 NACC.

Erin Efimoff registered a season-high 17 points along with five boards in her final collegiate home game for the Scarlet Hawks, while Erin Nelson followed with 13 points. Shannon O'Donnell shared the ball with a game-high five assists along with six points and four rebounds. Josie Mace led the way at the glass with a game-high nine boards for IIT.

The Muskies, who played 20 athletes, drained 14 three-point baskets and converted on 27 assists. Megan Will paced Lakeland with 15 points.

The Scarlet Hawks will close their 2019-20 season on Saturday, February 22 at Rockford University. Game time is set for 4:15 p.m.
