SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Illinois Tech women's lacrosse team played a tough Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference foe on Saturday, traveling to Minnesota to play Hamline University. The shorthanded Scarlet Hawks fell 12-7, moving to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in conference. Hamline improved to 5-0 in conference play.

How it Happened

• Hamline score two of the first three goals, with Shanie Scoles scoring for Tech five minutes in.
• The Scarlet Hawks responded with three straight goals to go up 4-2. Madison Meredith and Alyssa DeLuca scored on man-up free position shots before Scoles tallied on a Jennifer Young assist.
• Hamline rallied, scoring four times before halftime and then three more to start the second half to go up 9-4.
• After DeLuca scored on a Meredith assist, the Pipers scored twice more. Scoles and Rubin added goals for the Scarlet Hawks to finish the match out, with another Hamline goal netted in between.
