WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference has announced the players of the week for competition during April 16-22.  Illinois Tech's Jessica Cochis has been named the Defensive Player of the Week for her play in three matches over that span.  This is first MWLC recognition for Cochis this season.

Cochis went 3-0 as the Scarlet Hawk goaltender against Aurora, Loras and Wartburg last week.  She played all 180 minutes of competition, recording 25 saves with a 54.3 save percentage.  The sophomore held a goals against average of 7.00 to lead the team to a sweep for the week.
