2020 SCHEDULE

CHICAGO—The 2020 campaign is on the horizon for the Illinois Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team, who will kick things off at Stuart Field on Wednesday, March 4 against NAIA foe Concordia University Ann Arbor at 6:00 p.m.

The Scarlet Hawks, who were tabbed to finish third on the 2020 MWLC Preseason Poll, are set to return 10 bodies from the 2019 roster, and will welcome six newcomers to the fold. Back for the Scarlet Hawks is reigning Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Attacker of the Year Shanie Scoles, who led the team in scoring with 81 goals and 17 assists last season. Scoles' 5.06 goals per game in 2019 ranked ninth in the country.

Mallory Tognetti and Jessica Cochis are the lone two seniors on the 2020 Scarlet Hawks roster, which features 11 states that include Maryland, Missouri, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Florida, New Jersey, California, Illinois, Colorado, New York and Michigan. The United States and United Arab Emirates make up the two countries represented on the 2020 Illinois Tech roster.

The Scarlet Hawks' 11-5 campaign in 2019 ended in the MWLC Tournament Championship Game, where they dropped a 13-8 decision to Aurora University. The Scarlet Hawks' 2020 schedule features just one non-conference bout (season-opener) before they kick off their 13-MWLC game slate at home on Saturday, March 7 vs. Monmouth University at 11:00 a.m. The 2020 slate will feature eight home, and six away bouts, with the season finale taking place on Saturday, April 25 at Beloit College.

Scarlet Hawks head women's lacrosse coach Meghan Brady will embark on her third season at the helm.
