Shanie Scoles Named to the 2021 All-NACC Women's Lacrosse Second Team

CHICAGO—Illinois Institute of Technology senior midfield Shanie Scoles was named to the 2021 All-NACC Women's Lacrosse Second Team on Tuesday. 

The Mission Viejo, California native concluded the Scarlet Hawks' inaugural season in the NACC with 12 goals, four assists, and 16 points over three games played. Scoles registered an Illinois Tech single-game record of 14 points (10g, 4a), 18 shots, and tied the school record with 10 goals in a 20-17 victory over Edgewood on April 17. She also finished the 2021 season with a team-leading 26 shots and 22 shots on goal, along with eight draw controls. 

Over 36 career games played; Scoles has 145 goals, 35 assists, 180 points, 292 shots, 231 shots on goal, 12 woman-up goals, 75 ground balls, 47 caused turnovers and 189 draw controls (school record). Scoles, who is a two-time member of the All-MWLC Team, was named 2019 MWLC Attacker of the Year and 2018 MWLC Freshman of the Year. 

The Scarlet Hawks finished the 2021 season with a 1-2, 0-2 NACC record.
