Rowan Named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week on Offense for Women's Lacrosse

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Aurora University midfielder Jalyn Yaukovitz (West Des Moines, Iowa) and Illinois Institute of Technology midfielder Brooke Rowan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 21-27, 2022, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Offense ~ Brooke Rowan, Illinois Institute of Technology
Rowan, a senior, scored six goals - including the game-winner - in the Scarlet Hawks' 17-16 overtime win over Franklin College on March 23. She also added an assist, won seven draws, picked up one ground ball, and caused a turnover. Of Rowan's 10 shots in the contest, nine were on frame.  

Defense ~ Jalyn Yaukovitz, Aurora University
Yaukovitz, a junior, had a strong defensive performance in each of Aurora's two contests - a 9-8 loss to unbeaten George Fox and a 16-5 win over Carroll (Wis.). She had eight caused turnovers on the week with seven against George Fox. Yaukovitz also had nine ground balls, three draw controls while scoring six goals and handing out three assists from her midfield position.
