MILWAUKEE, Wis. – For the second week in a row, Illinois Tech Athletics has a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Student-Athlete of the Week recipient. This week, women's soccer is recognized, as freshman goalkeeper Catherine Klemp has been named the NACC's Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for action between the dates of Sept. 3-9.

Klemp started both of Tech's shutout victories in goal this past weekend, playing the first 80:14 of Saturday's 3-0 win over Lake Forest College before playing all 90 minutes in Sunday's 1-0 victory against Alma College. The Colorado native organized a defense that did not allow a shot on goal during her time on the field Saturday, then made a pair of saves in Sunday's win to preserve the tight lead.

The Scarlet Hawks will play next on Wednesday night at Carroll University. Tech will make the trek to Waukesha, Wisconsin for a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
