CHICAGO, Ill. – For the second time this season, Illinois Tech women's soccer has received a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) weekly honor. Madison Harris has been named the NACC's Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for action between September 17 and September 23.

Harris, a junior center back from Franklin, Wisconsin, is an anchor for a Scarlet Hawk defense that recorded two shutouts to open conference play last week: a 4-0 win at Aurora on Wednesday and a 2-0 victory at MSOE on Saturday. The unit allowed just 14 shots (six on net) in the two matches.

Women's Soccer, who remains the 10th-ranked team in the Central Regional according to the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, will host Benedictine University tomorrow evening (Wednesday) at 7:00 p.m. Live audio, video, and stats will be available for the NACC contest, with the live audio being powered by the Illinois Media School.
