MILWAUKEE, Wis. – After finishing second in the regular season and falling in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament Championship last season, the Illinois Tech women's soccer team is expected to have similar success in 2019. The conference agrees, as the NACC's preseason poll slots the Scarlet Hawks second. The poll is votes on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
Tech received a total of 301 points and one first-place vote, trailing only Dominican (337 points, 25 first-place votes). The Stars also paced the league last season, going unbeaten in league play en route to a league championship after defeating the Scarlet Hawks in overtime.

Illinois Tech, who enjoyed great success in just its first season in the NACC, will open up the regular season on Friday, August 30 at 4:30 p.m. against North Park University at Stuart Field.
