Women's Swimming and Diving Continues Scholar All-America Streak

NORFOLK, Va. -  For a fifth straight semester, the Illinois Tech women's swimming and diving team has earned Scholar All-America honors. 

The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its Division III Scholar Teams for the Spring 2018 semester in late June, which represent 476 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions. Tech is one of 174 Division III women's teams to recieve the honor. In order to qualify as a Scholar All-America team, a team needed to record a collective grade point average of at least 3.0 on a four-point scale.

Illinois Tech's women's swimming and diving team placed fourth out of 11 teams at the Liberal Arts Championships, had five All-Conference swimmers, won the Ted Erikson Invitational, and held a 6-6 record in dual meets for the 2017-18 season.
