ELSAH, ILL.—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's swimming & diving team notched a trio of first-place finishes on day four of the Liberal Arts Championship in Elsah, Illinois, which secured them third place out of 11 teams with 419 points. Coe College claimed the 2020 Liberal Arts Conference Championship with 536 points.
Katherine Lydon set the tone in the 1650 freestyle with a first-place time of 17:56.95. Anna Slominski kept the first-place trend alive in the 200 yard breaststroke with a school-record 2:20.20. Megan Burrill sat atop the 200 yard butterfly podium with a 2:09.87. The three-headed monster of Lydon, Slominski and Burrill weren't done as they teamed with Jamie Wurster for a second-place time of 3:40.44 in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
The Scarlet Hawks will now await their fate for the NCAA Division III Championship that is set to take place on March 18-21 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
