Women’s Tennis Thwarts North Park 9-0

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's tennis team completely dominated on Sunday morning, taking down the Vikings of North Park University in a sweep. A non-conference contest, the win moved the Scarlet Hawks to 16-6 on the season.

Match Highlights

  • The Scarlet Hawks were dominant in doubles, winning all three matches.
  • Tech's most domiant duo was in the No. 3 spot, where Kylie Hance and Mouna Chahin were 8-0 winners.
  • The No. 2 duo of Sophia Nelson and Kaitlyn Graves took home a 8-2 win while Weronika Halicka and Morgan Colbert won 8-3 in the No. 1 spot.
  • As usual, Halicka overwhelmed her opponent in No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
  • Also a 6-0, 6-0 winner was Allyson Trang in No. 6 singles.
  • Colbert (No. 2, 6-0, 6-1), Hance (No. 3, 6-0, 6-2), Nelson (No. 4, 6-3, 6-0), and Graves (No. 5, 6-3, 6-1) all were winners as well.
