CHICAGO—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's tennis team (7-6, 7-2 NACC) saw their 2019-20 campaign come to a screeching halt on the eve of their spring break trip in Orlando, Florida due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Program firsts, and record book marks highlighted the Scarlet Hawks' third season of competition, and second in the NACC.

Streaking

The Scarlet Hawks tied for a program-best, five-dual match win streak that began with an 8-1 decision over MSOE on September 28 and ended with a 9-0 win over Alverno on October 12.

Award Season

The Scarlet Hawks are two-for-two in producing NACC Player of the Year as junior Morgan Colbert did the honors in 2019-20.

Colbert, sophomore Kylie Hance and sophomore Hana Iverson round out the trio of Scarlet Hawks to land a spot on the 2019-20 All-NACC Singles Team. It marked the second-consecutive trip to the All-NACC Singles Team for Colbert and Hance. Colbert and Hana Iverson entrenched themselves on the 2019-20 All-NACC Doubles Team. This gives Colbert two trips to the All-NACC Doubles Team.

NACC Perfection

After three seasons, the Scarlet Hawks carry a perfect all-time record against the following NACC opponents:

  • Wisconsin Lutheran: 4-0
  • MSOE: 3-0
  • Marian (Wis.): 2-0
  • Lakeland: 3-0
  • Dominican (Ill.): 2-0
  • Concordia Chicago: 2-0
  • Alverno: 2-0
