CHICAGO—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's track & field team opened their 2020 campaign at the University of Chicago Phoenix Opener on Saturday, where they took fourth place with five points. University of Chicago claimed the team title with 251 points.
Erin Nelson clocked in 11th place in the 800 meter run with a 2:55.19 for IIT, and 14th in the mile run with a 6:22.11. Abigail Schulz took 10th place in the 3000 meter run with a 12:49.90.
The Scarlet Hawks will return to action at the North Central Cardinal Opener on Friday, January 17 at 4:30 p.m.
