BOURBONNAIS, ILL.—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's track & field team embarked on the Olivet Nazarene Invite on Saturday, where respectable marks were accomplished.
Mminika Effiong continued her dominate ways for the Scarlet Hawks in the 200 meter dash, where she clocked-in 23rd place with a 28.68. The 1000 meter run saw Zoey Krevitz claim eighth place with a 3:46.18 before she tallied a 19th-place time of 2:13.84 in the 600 meter run. Madalyn Urig registered ninth place in the 1000 meter run with a 4:06.39. Abigail Schulz crossed the finish line at 12:39.65 in the 3000 meter run, good enough for 38th place.
The Scarlet Hawks will return to action on Saturday, February 8 at the North Central College (Ill.) Invite. Festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m.
