Scarlet Hawks Compete at University of Chicago Margaret Bradley Invite

CHICAGO—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's track & field team competed at the University of Chicago Margaret Bradley Invite on Saturday. The Scarlet Hawks didn't compete for a team score.

Mminika Effiong paced IIT in the 200 meter dash with a 10th-place time of 27.70, a school record. She built on that momentum in the long jump, where she secured 11th place with a 4.39m. 

Abigail Schulz was a jack-of-all-trades for the Scarlet Hawks in the 800 meter run (15th place, 2:45.64) and 400 meter dash (18th place, 1:07.39). Zoey Krevitz clocked-in a 19th-place time of 6:55.93 in the one-mile run, while Madalyn Urig secured 22nd place with a 7:17.56. Urig kept the 19th-place trend alive in the 800 meter run with a 3:36.08. 

The Scarlet Hawks will compete at the 2020 NACC Indoor Track & Field Championship in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Saturday, February 29.
