Scarlet Hawks Put On Promising Performance at Green & White Invite

CHICAGO, ILL.—The second meet of 2021 pitted the Illinois Institute of Technology women's track & field team at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Green & White Invite on Saturday. The Scarlet Hawks finished in a tie for ninth place out of 13 teams with 13 points. 

Masha Staub registered a career day in the 100 meter dash when her personal-best of 14.00 secured a spot in the finals, where she continued to dominate with a fifth-place time of 13.63. The 200 meter dash saw Staub tally a 12th-place time of 29.21. The 800 meter run saw Shannon O'Donnell break the 3:00 threshold for the first time in her career, as she crossed the finish line at 2:59.70 en route to 14th place. 

Erin Nelson was one-of-four entries in the 5000 meter run, where she notched a 23:01.36. Nelson; along with Zoey Krevitz, Jada Muldrow and O'Donnell clocked-in a 4:57.92 in the 4x400 meter relay.

The Scarlet Hawks will participate in the Benedictine (Ill.) Eagle Tune-Up on Friday, April 30.
