ELMHURST, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's cross-country team competed in the Elmhurst College Earlybird Invitational on Friday evening in their first meet of the season at Eldridge Park.
Illinois Tech Highlights
- Erin Nelson led the Scarlet Hawks in her first race as a junior, placing in 48th and a time of 19:51.7.
- Zoey Krevitz finished in 70th place after finishing with a time of 22:52.7.
- Sophomore Jasmine Baste was not far behind in her first race at Illinois Tech, finishing in 74th place with a time of 23:40.2.
- Rosemary Johnson made her debut on the course with the Scarlet Hawks, finished in 79th place, which landed her a time of 24:41.6.
- Madalyn Urig wrapped up the scoring for Tech; finishing in 81st place and a time of 25:35.6

- Illinois Tech returns to the course a week from today on Friday, Sept. 7 as the Scarlet Hawks travel for the Aurora Spartan Classic located at Oakhurst Forest Preserve in Aurora, Ill. Race time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
