DEKALB, Ill. - On Friday, the Illinois Tech Women's cross country team competed in the Northern Illinois University Huskie Invite. The race, which featured several NCAA Division I racers, did not record team scores.

Meet Highlights

• For the second straight week, Erin Nelson paced Tech. The captain placed 77th with an 6k time of 27:27.6.
• Abigail Schulz was next, placing 80th at 29:28.9.
• In her first collegiate race, Niya Velez recorded a 31:15.1 time (85th place).
• Zoey Krevitz (91st, 34:05.0) and Madalyn Urig (92nd, 39:42.3) also competed for Tech.
