Men Place 2nd, Women Gain Momentum
The Men's and Women's traveled up to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday to the Warrior Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College. Hosted at Greenfield Park, the meet was hosted at the site of next month's Conference Championship.

The men got the meet started and ultimately finished second to Aurora University totaling 96 points to Aurora's 78. Pacing the Scarlet Hawk's was So. Julian Go who finished in 11th in 27:59 followed closely by Fr. Louis Ketchman (13th - 28:18),  So. Evan Balizado (15th - 28:28), Jr. Tom Doyle (16th - 28:39), and rounding out the team scoring was Fr. Brendan Conroy (42nd - 31:04).

"I thought the men accomplished our main objective today of gaining experience on the Conference course," said Head Coach Tyler McQuality. "I think we are better than the results showed today but we have not backed down in the slightest in training as we are still working towards the end of the year. Today was another step in the right direction and we have some more objective feedback and will get back to work."

The Women were paced by Sr. Erin Nelson, who recorded a 22nd finish in 26:21, continuing her impressive Senior season. Also competing for the Scarlet Hawks were Jr. Zoey Krevitz (9rd - 31:23) and So. Madalyn Urig (126th - 36:30).

Assistant Coach Desmond Meyer had to say, "This week for the girls race was very promising as we get closer to our championship season. Although it was a new course for us, the girls looked engaged throughout the race. This is the type of momentum we will need moving forward for the next couple of weeks".

The coming week is a break from competition before the Scarlet Hawks travel to Winnecone, Wisconsin for the Kollege Town Sports Invitational at Lake Breeze Golf Course on October 19th, at the site of the Midwest Regional Championships in November.
