Tech Baseball 2-2 After Second Day of Spring Trip

Tucson, Ariz. – Illinois Tech baseball went up against University of Wisconsin-Superior on Monday and the game showed all the scoring early and late with UW-Superior Yellow Jackets taking the lead for the final time in the seventh to come away with the victory 9-6. Tech falls to 2-2 overall record on the season. "With a 5-4 lead late in the game we cannot afford to give up 5 runs in the final 3 innings. If we continue to do that we will not find ourselves with the outcomes we desire." shared Head Coach Scott Marks after the loss.

On offense the Hawks did enough to win, scoring 6 runs. The standout performances were from four different players who each ended with multiple hits. Austin Boos (JR, Indianapolis, Ind.) finished with 2 hits and a run scored from the leadoff spot in the lineup.
