All Fall Teams in Action for Upcoming Week

CHICAGO, Ill.- The Illinois Institute of Technology athletic department is set for a busy week, as all five Fall teams will be in competition.

Women's Soccer (5-4-2), fresh off of a victory against the USCAA's #7 team in Carlow, will get the week started with a trip to Elmhurst College on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. On Sunday, the team will travel to Lakeland College for a 2:00 p.m.

Elmhurst present a tough, local, Division III challenge, as the Bluejays hold a 5-3-1 record and compete in a tough College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin conference. Lakeland, another Division III program, is 4-8 on the season.

Men's Soccer (5-6-1) will also play twice this week, but both matches will come at home. Tech will host Lake Forest College at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night at Stuart Field before taking on Rochester (Mich.) at home at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Lake Forest is a tough Division III opponent from just a few miles up I-94, as the Foresters hold a 8-3 record thus far. Rochester comes out of the NAIA and is 4-6 on the season, but has won two straight matches.

Women's Volleyball (9-7) comes off of a successful tri-match on Saturday, downing Grace Bible and Mount Mary in straight sets at home. This weekend, the team will head to Washington DC to play in Gallaudet's Worthington Classic in Washington D.C.

The Scarlet Hawks are scheduled to play in four games over the weekend (two on Friday, two on Saturday). Tech will oppose host Gallaudet (2:00 p.m. ET) and FDU-Florham (6:00 p.m. ET) on Friday before facing Virginia Wesleyan (10:00 a.m. ET) on Saturday. A second match will be played in the afternoon on Saturday, with time and opponent to be determined by tournament results.

Men's and Women's Cross Country will hit the course after a week off of competition on Friday at the Benedictine University Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.

For the third straight meet, Tech will compete at St. James Farm in Warrenville. The Scarlet Hawks ran at the forest preserve in meets hosted by Wheaton College and College of DuPage in February.
