Swimming and Diving Places Nine on LAC All-Championship Team

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Liberal Arts Conference has announced its All-Championship team from the LAC Championships earlier this month. Nine Illinois Institute of Technology student-athletes have been honored by the LAC from swimming and diving: one woman and eight men.

To be named All-Championship, an athlete must place in the top 3 of an individual event or be on a relay that places in the top 3. Below are the Tech student-athletes receiveing the honor:

Women's

Brigitte Temple (100 Yard Breaststroke, 200 Yard Breaststroke, 400 Yard Individual Medley)

Men's

Kevin Boldt (800 Yard Freestyle Relay)

Julian Escasa (200 Yard Freestyle Relay, 800 Yard Freestyle Relay)

Tanner Grieve (200 Yard Freestyle Relay)

Jay Korhonen (400 Yard Individual Medley, 800 Yard Freestyle Relay)

Mikey Milici (400 Yard Individual Medley)

David Polzin (200 Yard Freestyle Relay)

Matt Schindler (200 Yard Freestyle Relay)

Luke Workman (200 Yard Butterfly, 800 Yard Freestyle Relay)

A total of 73 athletes earned a spot on the All-Championship team (35 women, 38 men). Tech's men's placed fourth at the LAC Championships, while the women placed fifth.
