Tech Athletics Set for Another Busy Week

CHICAGO, Ill- Illinois Institute of Technology Athletics is set for an active upcoming week, as all five Fall teams will be in action.

Women’s Soccer (6-4-3) has not lost in the month of October and will look to build off of that momentum with two home matches this week. On Wednesday, Rockford University will visit Stuart Field at 3:00 p.m. Saturday will see St. Mary of the Woods take on Tech at Stuart Field at 1:00 p.m.

Rockford and St. Mary of the Woods will both take losing records into Illinois Tech. The Regents are 2-11 on the season, while the Pomeroys are 2-9.

Women’s Volleyball (9-11) is the second team to be in action at home on Saturday, as Tech will host a tri-match with North Park University and Robert Morris-Springfield. Tech will play at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in Keating Sports Center.

North Park is 7-12 on the season, while Robert Morris-Springfield is 2-18-1.

Men’s and Women’s Cross Country will compete in its last tune up before the USCAA Championships on Saturday. Both teams will compete in one of the Midwest’s largest meets: The UW-Oshkosh Invitational.

The event will take place in Winneconne, Wis. The women will compete at noon, with the men following at 12:45 p.m.

Men’s Soccer (6-7-1) also competes on Saturday, as the team will travel to Ripon College in Wisconsin for a 3:30 p.m. match.

Ripon is 6-5-1 on the season and has played three common opponents with Tech. One of those is Lake Forest, whom Tech defeated 4-3 in overtime on Friday night. Ripon fell to the Foresters 6-1 earlier in the season.
