CHICAGO, Ill.- Another busy week is ahead for Illinois Institute of Technology athletics, as five teams will be in competition.

Women's Volleyball (12-15) will have the busiest week, as the Scarlet Hawks will play five contests. One of those contests will be at home, as Tech will host Concordia-Chicago for it's Senior Night on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Keating Sports Center.

Tech will also travel west to Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. for a two-day, four-match tournament. The Scarlet Hawks will face tough competiton on the weekend, facing traditional Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference powers Benedictine (2:00 p.m.) and Dominican (6:00 p.m.) on Friday before facing Milwaukee School of Engineering (9:30 a.m.) and North Central College (11:30 a.m.) on Sunday.

Also home on Tuesday is Women's Soccer (8-5-3), as the Scarlet Hawks will host Mount Mercy at 6:00 p.m. at Stuart Field. The team will also travel to nearby Roosevelt University to take on the Lakers at 11:00 a.m. on Halloween Saturday.

Women's Soccer is hoping the two games will serve as a tune-up for the USCAA Championships, as the Hawks are in position to earn a tournament bid as an at-large. Illinois Tech is currently ranked 11th in the USCAA poll. Tournament brackets are announced on Tuesday evening.

Men's Soccer (9-8-1) closes out the schedule on Wednesday night at Stuart Field when the team hosts Carthage College at 7:00 p.m.

The Scarlet Hawks are looking to finish the season with records above .500 both overall and at home. A win would guarantee both, as the Scarlet Hawks hold a 6-6-1 record at Stuart Field this season.

Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving opens up the home schedule this week, as the Scarlet Hawks will host Beloit College on Halloween Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Ekco Pool.

The competition will be Tech's second meet of the season, as both squads competed at Frankilin College last Saturday against Franklin and Illinois College. Both Tech teams defeated IC, but fell to Franklin.

Men's Basketball does not open the regular season this week, but will host an inter-squad scrimmage and Halloween Costume Contest on Halloween night. The events will take place in the Keating Sports Center at 7:00 p.m.
