ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Illinois Institute of Technology men's basketball team traveled to Rockford University on Tuesday night. After keeping things close in the first half, Tech fell 98-73.
How it Happened
  • Rockford jumped out to an 8-0 lead, but Tech went on a run of its own after a Todd Kelly timeout. A three-point basket by Jason Morris gave the Scarlet Hawks a lead at 11-10.
  • The Regents regain control, building an 11-point advantage with 5:32 left in the half. Tech finished the half strong, cutting the deficit to 43-41 with a minute left in the frame. Rockford scored three late points to take a 46-41 advantage into the break.
  • Half number two started like the first. After a Jake Bruns basket, the Regents went on a 13-0 run to open up a comfortable lead.
  • Rockford's momentum would continue, as Tech struggled to reel the Regents in for the remainder of the contest.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
  • Anthony Mosley Jr. scored 16 first half points and finished with 26 on the night. 
  • In his third start of the season, Bruns played a season-high 33 minutes and tied season-highs in points (16) and assists (four).
  • Ryan Barnes tallied eight points and 12 rebounds off the bench.
Regent Notes
  • Tony Diemer led RU with 23 points.
