Chicago, Ill. - Illinois Tech Men's Soccer team won 1-0 at home against Maranatha Baptist on Tuesday night. Brahadon Ramirez scored on a penalty kick for the lone goal.
The Scarlet Hawks had an uneven first half but took a 1-0 lead after Tyler Haag was taken down in the box for the penalty. Illinois Tech dominated the second half with a 14-1 edge in shots and held on for the deserved 3 points.
Maranatha drops to 5-3-1 on the season while the Scarlet Hawks improve to 6-2-1.
Illinois Tech took 25 shots with 11 on goal for the night. EJ Yang recorded the shut-out for IIT with 2 saves.
Illinois Tech hosts Rockford University on Saturday, October 4th at 1 pm.
