Ramirez and Meier Named USCAA All-Americans

Charleston, West Virginia – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) announced its All-American soccer players tonight at the annual National tournament banquet.  Two Illinois Tech men's soccer players were honored with this award. 

Brahadon Ramirez was named as a USCAA 1st Team All-American.  The senior midfielder leads the Scarlet Hawks with 12 goals and 7 assists, totaling 31 points on the season heading into the national tournament. 

Rex Meier was honored as a 2nd Team All-American.  The senior center-back leads the back line of the Hawks, which rank 4th in the nation with a 1.11 goals against average.  He has also contributed a goal and an assist this season.

Both players will have a chance to showcase their talent this week in the USCAA national championships.  The Scarlet Hawks face off with Concordia Alabama tomorrow at 11am CST.  You can watch the match live here.
