Men's Soccer Falls to Trine

CHICAGO, Illinois- The Illinois Institute of Technology men's soccer team concluded the Illinois Tech Tournament on Sunday afternoon at Stuart Field, falling to Trine University 4-1.

How It Happened

  • Trine controlled the game for the first half, starting with Bucky Carpenter's first goal in the game's 15th minute. The Thunder scored again in the 23rd minute courtsey of Kurt Wysocki, and once more from Carpenter in the 27th minute.
  • Half number two started similar for Trine, as Ben Moricz fired home a shot in the 61st minute.
  • Tech would not leave empty-handed, however. Noah Griffith scored in the 85th minute, scoring off of a save from the keeper that bounced back into the offensive zone.
