CHICAGO, Illinois- The Illinois Institute of Technology men's soccer team concluded the Illinois Tech Tournament on Sunday afternoon at Stuart Field, falling to Trine University 4-1.

How It Happened

• Trine controlled the game for the first half, starting with Bucky Carpenter's first goal in the game's 15th minute. The Thunder scored again in the 23rd minute courtsey of Kurt Wysocki, and once more from Carpenter in the 27th minute.
• Half number two started similar for Trine, as Ben Moricz fired home a shot in the 61st minute.
• Tech would not leave empty-handed, however. Noah Griffith scored in the 85th minute, scoring off of a save from the keeper that bounced back into the offensive zone.

Scarlet Hawk Standouts

• Griffith's lone goal led the team, as well as his three shot attempts
• Sergio Calvo de Leon also attempted three shots
• Norikazu Honda and Emmanuel Zambrano attempted the team's other shots on goal

For the Foes

• Carpenter scored twice on four shots
• Wysoci tallied a goal and an assist

Stats to Know

• Trine outshot the Scarlet Hawks 23-14, Tech held an 10-8 advantage in the second half
• Trine committed 19 fouls compared to Illinois Tech's seven
• Griffith's goal was his third on the season
