Swimming Enjoys Sunny Florida, Participates in Exhibition Relays Against Oswego State

The Scarlet Hawks took a trip down to St. Petersburg, FL for the first week of January to celebrate the New Year and compete against the Oswego State Lakers. On Friday, January 9, both the men and women participated in the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relay against SUNY Oswego.

The Scarlet Hawks' top relay of Joe Valio, Billy Bafia, Tanner Grieve and Luke Workman finished the 200 Medley Relay in a time of 1:46.65. The team of Ray Mohaimani, Jay Korhonen, Kevin Boldt and Connor McGuire finished close behind with a time of 1:48.01. The Scarlet Hawks' third relay consisting of Ben Callan, Jason Voelker, Matt Williams and Moses Yao finished next with a time of 2:00.56.

In the 200 Freestyle Relay, Seniors Mohaimani and Bafia led the A Relay, along with Freshman Workman and Junior Grieve, with a final time of 1:34.06. The B Relay, consisting of McGuire, Valio, Boldt and Korhonen finished with a time of 1:37.73, and the C Relay of Tristan Busch, Callan, Voelker and Yao finished with a time of 1:45.18.

The Scarlet Hawks' next competition will be at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI on Saturday, January 17 at 1pm.
